Vistage Member Paula Hart quoted in StarTribune article about human services agencies’ compliance with new overtime rules
“The pair, plus others in the state’s human services sector, want Minnesota’s federal politicians to press the U.S. Labor Department to extend the time they get to apply rules that will more than double the base salary of workers who can be declared exempt from overtime. They say they need the time to raise more government funding for Medicaid, which pays for virtually all of the services they provide. ‘We’re eternal optimists, or we wouldn’t do this work,’ Hart said.” The full article can be found here

“It’s difficult to find new workers,” said Sam Claassen, president of SEH Inc., who needs to add 100 engineers, scientists and architects at his 725-person firm in the next year. “If you went back five years, we didn’t have this issue. Minnesota Chair Brian Davis Named Top Vistage CEO Peer Group Leader
In January 2014, Brian Davis was recognized in San Diego as one of the top Vistage CEO Chairs in the country. He and 12 fellow Chairs received the Vistage Sustained Top Achievement Recognition (STAR) Award for having been ranked in the top 20 out of 435 Chairs on performance and group engagement for 12 consecutive months. This is the most difficult Vistage Chair award to achieve, and Davis is the first Chair in history to win the STAR Award in his second year of Chairing.
